“The weekly three flights introduced by Buddha Air will help to bring in Indian tourists as Lucknow has connecting flights to many other Indian cities,” said Birendra Bahadur Basnet, Managing Director of Buddha Air.
Lucknow is the second international destination of Buddha Air after Paru in Bhutan.
Buddha Air has offered Rs 5,600 (US$123) as budget fare and Rs 10,400 (US$229) as Y class fare.
The airline has got permission from Indian authorities to fly to four other cities Lucknow, Kolkata, Patna and Varanasi. It is also planning to fly to Kolkata by March.
